If you’re still looking for a unique and thoughtful gift for the health and fitness enthusiasts on your holiday shopping list, consider a high-powered, portable blender to make sticking with their 2014 New Year’s diet resolutions easier. A blender is the number one kitchen gadget I recommend my clients use when following a healthy, balanced diet. My favorite blenders are the portable-stick or bullet styles that are easy to store and travel with. When you start each day with a healthy, balanced smoothie, you can help build muscle, stabilize blood sugar levels already within a normal range and use stored energy while also eating a healthy serving of low glycemic carbohydrate fruit, quality protein and healthy fat.
Make this holiday gift complete by wrapping up the blender with a container of plain or vanilla flavored pure whey protein powder, a bag of in-the-shell walnuts, some fresh tangerines and a copy of my favorite 40-30-30 Tangerine Smoothie recipe below. You might also consider including a copy of our book, The Formula, A 40-30-30 Personalized Weight Loss Program for more than 200 satisfying and nutritious meals and many additional smoothie recipes. Also, wrap up a box of delicious Balance Bars®. Balance Bars® are a convenient, nutrient-rich 40-30-30 nutrition energy bar to be used before a workout, as a mid-afternoon snack or even as a small meal replacement when you don’t have time to prepare a balanced meal. And whether it’s for a loved one or even yourself, you’ll have a unique gift with all the tools to enjoying a more balanced New Year.
