Find Your Motivation

It’s not always easy to stay motivated when a smart diet and exercise are your goals. We live in a busy, fast food world. I encourage my clients to focus less on weight loss and more on building the motivation to strive for an overall healthier lifestyle.

Many people can gain strength and motivation from a simple daily reminder or affirmation that can affect your mind and behavior in a positive way throughout the day. Goals can help define your mission and assist you in establishing healthy eating and exercise habits.

I also recommend finding quotes that motivate, inspire and affirm certain actions to help you live a more balanced life and become a stronger you. When you find quotes that speak to you, write them down and post them up where you can see them often. They are kind of like having a “good angel” on your shoulder whispering in your ear helping you to avoid temptations that can ruin your diet or cancel a workout.

Quotes can become the positive reinforcements needed to help you find your motivation. Some of my favorite motivational quotes are below:

The greatest wealth is health.

Wake up with determination,

go to bed with satisfaction.

When you feel like quitting,

ask yourself why you started.

I’m not telling you that it’s going to be easy,

but I am telling you that it’s going to be worth it.

Today is another chance,

make yourself proud.

I will fight for it!

I will not give up.

I will reach my goals and absolutely nothing will stop me.

It never gets easier,

you just get stronger.

It’s not a diet,

it’s a lifestyle

Eat less sugar,

you’re sweet enough already.

What you eat in private,

you’ll wear in public.

You don’t have to eat less,

you just have to eat balanced.

Junk food satisfies you for a minute,

being fit satisfies you for life.

Your body keeps an accurate journal,

regardless of what you write down.

Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.

Every time you eat or drink you are either feeding disease or fighting it.

Let your food be your medicine and medicine be your food.

So look for and find a driving force from inspirational quotes, sayings and slogans that can help increase your level of motivation. They might just be able to help you become the person you want to be.
